Killeen Man Found Dead In Apartment

An 33-year-old man was found dead in a Killeen apartment Thursday morning.

The man’s body was found at the Highlander Apartments complex in the 300 block of North 22nd Street. The body was slumped against the door of the apartment, and the kitchen showed signs of some sort of altercation. Blood stains were found on the floors and counter top, and a trail of blood led to the spot where the victim’s body was found.

Friends of the victims believe the shooting took place Wednesday night. They say Police responded to called to complex in reference to a shooting that night, but did not check the apartment where the victim was found. One friend described the shooter as a white male who lives at the complex, but is now missing.
